Andeliz Castillo is a mission-driven, authentic, and detailed-oriented leader with 20 years of experience in business operations, project management, government relations, public affairs, public policy, issue-advocacy, and human resources. Castillo is especially proud of running national issue-advocacy campaigns and growing organizations with decentralized employees connected to a uniform culture. She is a versatile relationship-builder with a high degree of cultural competency and a diverse network of contacts.
Prior to launching Neviz Strategies, Castillo served several years in the Executive Branch, leading numerous coalition-building efforts with civil society groups and state/local government affairs on behalf of the Vice President’s office. She managed both organizations’ day to day operations and oversaw a 600% growth within five years across many states. In addition, she spearheaded a merger of non-profit grassroots organizations, impacting over 1000 employees and leading 15 project teams within an accelerated timeline.
For almost a decade, Castillo served in various functions on Capitol Hill, including strategic communications, public policy, and community outreach for the House Committee on Foreign Affairs (mainly focusing on Western Hemisphere policy) and Congressional leadership in the House of Representatives.
Born and raised in New York City to Cuban and Colombian immigrants, Castillo graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Hispanic Studies. She also attended the Women and Politics Institute at American University.
